The Gardener is a documentary reflecting on the meaning of gardening and its impact on our lives.

Shortly before his passing at the age of 86, influential gardener and horticulturalist Frank Cabot recounts his personal quest for perfection at Les Quatre Vents, his 20 acres English-style garden and summer estate.
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Charlevoix County in Quebec, Les Quatre Vents has become one of the world’s foremost private gardens. Created over three generations, it is an enchanted place of beauty and surprise, a horticultural masterpiece of the 21st century.

Through the words of Cabot and his family, and with the participation of gardening experts and writers, the film looks back at this remarkable man’s personal story and the artistic philosophy that gave birth to one of the greatest gardens in the world. This poetic doc shows the harmonious relationship between people and nature and offers a compelling call for preservation.
Directed and produced by Sébastien Chabot

DAVID MYLES – Golf Tee-up Concert
Sep 7 @ 7:30 pm

We are excited to welcome the wonderful DAVID MYLES back to King’s Theatre to kick off the 10th Annual Tournament of King’s!

Nattily dressed in a suit and tie, wearing his trademark specs, he looks like Buddy Holly transposed to an after-hours supper club. But Myles’s music conveys a populist appeal that leaves no one lacking. – No Depression

Rock ’n’ roll’s diverse, electrifying roots dig deep into David Myles’ tenth album, Real Love. You can hear them in the old-school Johnny Cash shuffle and lightning-in-a-bottle twang of “Night And Day.” They pull you by the hand and dance slowly to the swingy drums and ‘50s-era, Roy Orbison croon of “Easy.” With the rousing orchestral thrill of “Night After Night,” they sprawl out into simmering soul as Myles seethes at a lover who’s been running around with another. Over Real Love’s 13 tracks, written as razor-sharp as Myles’ signature suits, those roots grow into a spectacular family tree of American musical tradition—with all its blood, sweat, and tears—that’s as endlessly entertaining as it is riveting.

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
Oct 27 @ 9:00 pm

DIG OUT YOUR COSTUMES, THE 1970s CULT CLASSIC IS BACK!!

Campy, brilliant and utterly bonkers, it’s no wonder this is a cult classic and a much loved favourite. The only way to watch this is to sing along as enthusiastically and loudly as possible and if you don’t wake up the neighbours and had a knock at the door from the police, you’ve failed.

It’s quite hard to describe the plot past “Brad and Janet’s car breaks down and they find themselves in a house” because that’s when all hell breaks loose. Singing, dancing, Meat Loaf and a man in very tight golden underwear is just a small part of the madness and it’s very, very fun.
